From Chef to Scientist

 

My path to science began in a restaurant kitchen, a venue for creative and critical thinking. Cooking, like science, is a dynamic process that requires using all five senses while utilizing various techniques to test culinary hypotheses. The passions and skills I cultivated as a chef are at the root of my appreciation for science. I am driven by a curiosity that fosters focused research and a creativity that allows me to quickly learn and adapt new techniques.
